A probability table has a number of similar meanings. It can simply be a table lsiting the individual or combined probabilities of things, for example listing the probability of it being dry, rainiy or snowy on December 25th. A special case of this is a probability transition table for a stochastic process that says how likely one state is to follow another. In older works, it might also refer to statistical tables which are precomputed probabilities for mathematical probability distributions used for various statistical tests.
Used in Chap. 3: page 35
